Interview with Eraser

Over the last three years, Eraser has carved out a spot as one of the most refreshing projects in Philadelphia. The band melds erratic synth-work with squirrely guitars and some of the strongest grooves you’ll hear on a punk record. Their 2025 debut LP, Hideout, is as stellar as they come, and their electrifying live performances have made them a must-see act.
Chatting with Dominick, Eraser gave some insight into the writing/recording process for Operator!, told us about the beauty of improvisation and embracing mistakes, and recommended some of their favorite Philly artists!
Eraser’s second album, Operator!, is out this Friday, September 18! The same day, Eraser will kick off their first West Coast tour; and on November 8, they'll be back in Philly supporting Deerhoof at Underground Arts.
